MIDSOUTH COVENANT CAMP
We are looking forward to an exciting Midsouth Camp planned for the week of August 1 - 7, 2021. Our theme is “JOURNEY 2 JUSTICE” from Psalm 146, which describes how in the midst of injustice around the world, we praise our Lord as long as we live. We put our trust in God to change the world. Our hope is not in powerful humans. God, the creator of the universe, calls us to partner with HIM to bring justice to the oppressed, food to the hungry, free the prisoners, bring sight to the blind, and lift up the depressed. As people of God we are called to protect the widow, the orphan and the immigrant.
Campers are placed in one of four divisions determined by the school grade they will be entering in the fall semester of 2021. Divisions are comprised of 2-4 graders, 5-6 graders, 7-9 graders, and 10-12 graders. Counselors in Leadership Training (CILT) positions are available for students entering 10-12 grades.
Due to the nature of the current pandemic, the Midsouth Covenant Camp will be following the CDC, American Camping Association, and Frontier Camp guidelines regarding COVID-19 at camp as they pertain to August 2021. As recommendations change, we will update parents to these policy changes.
Important dates to remember:
Counselor applications due April 30th
CILT applications due June 1st
Early Registration deadline June 15th
All CILT and Regular registrations due July 15th
All camp fees due no later than August 1st
To learn about registration, watch a video, or access forms, please visit the camp website.
We join God in loving all people through various community partnerships:
We partner with Ridgegate Elementary School to support staff and students through appreciation meals, notes of encouragement, event support, and mentoring
We partner with Houston Welcomes Refugees to demonstrate the love and hospitality of God by providing material needs and setting-up homes for refugees
We partner with Fort Bend Family Promise to meet the immediate needs of homeless families while empowering them to attain self-sufficiency
